Misha went for her first vet visit after being on DES (hormones) a month.  It’s recommended that blood work be done periodically to ward off any potential health problems.  DES can cause certain cancers and anemia, as well as other problems. So, it was another sedate, trap, and hood moment.  I think I’m getting better at this because she barely struggled.  I’ve found relaxing music playing low in the background helps relax her. As you know, Misha was taken off Proin after side effects turned her into psycho dog at the end of the year.  The next step was to try another medication for her urine leakage. I’m happy to say that after a couple of weeks off Proin we have our crazy Jack Russell Terrier back.  I feel bad because now I realize it was affecting Misha in several ways, but I didn’t catch on.  Poor thing must have wondered what the heck was going on in her body A couple days after being off Proin, she was back to a normal sleeping pattern.  Thank Goodness!  I was really having a hard time functioning on 2-3…

Well, Misha has fully recovered from her bad drug trip.  She’s slept off the fatigue.  it took a couple of weeks, she’s back to her old self. Unfortunately, this means she is leaking urine again.  It started slowly.  A dribble here and there.  I guess the Proin stayed in her system for awhile.  Now she’s back to having accidents.
