My Dog Learns To Stay Off The Top Of The Couch

My Dog Learns To Stay Off The Top Of The Couch

Share

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about my dog’s sudden behavior change.  She had never climbed up on the  back of the couch.  Then, she became a Himalayan Mountain Goat.  It seemed like I was telling her off multiple times a week. Have you seen goats in trees?  I think Misha was in training. Why Was She Climbing On The Couch? It took some time to realize that it had to do with fear.  What else? We have been…

Misha Should Not Be Up On Top Of The Couch!

Misha Should Not Be Up On Top Of The Couch!

My dog has been driving us nuts!  She isn’t allowed on the couch except when accompanied by a human…and then, only on their lap.  She’s been good about the rules.  Until now. She’s gotten insistent on climbing up on the back of one of the couches to the point of defiance.  It wouldn’t be a big deal except the glass dinner table is behind it.  I’m afraid she may jump off the couch not realizing the table is right there….

Rainy Days and Mondays Always Get My Dog Down

We were so lucky.  December was almost completely dry. It was practically springlike. I got to walk Misha almost every day. Time for a Bath I like to get Misha all cleaned up before Christmas festivities kick in.  She wants to look good for the holiday festivities.  And, no one really wants to smell a stinky dog while opening presents. After giving her a bath with Furminator, I…

Are All Jack Russells This Curious?

Are All Jack Russells This Curious?

I hate to compare dogs.  Each is special and unique in their own way.  But, I’ve owned a Cocker Spaniel Poodle, a Collie, a Lab/Golden Retriever Mix, and now a Jack Russell Terrier.  No dog was as curious as Misha. Are Jack Russell Terriers the Most Curious Dog Breed? Maybe “most curious” is an exaggeration.  How about one of the most curious?  Is this something specific to Jack Russell Terriers?  Maybe terriers have a curiosity streak because of their breeding…

Tips for Applying Topical Flea Medication on Your Dog

I am being ignored.  I had the audacity of applying flea medication to my dog.  She’ll letting me know that she is suffering the indignity in silence.  She’s afraid of the flea medication tube which why I am being ignored. I had to put her bed and blanket next to my computer chair so she could do it in comfort. It had to be done.  She has been itching like crazy the last couple of days.  Last night, I finally…
