My Dog Learns To Stay Off The Top Of The Couch

My Dog Learns To Stay Off The Top Of The Couch

Share

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about my dog’s sudden behavior change.  She had never climbed up on the  back of the couch.  Then, she became a Himalayan Mountain Goat.  It seemed like I was telling her off multiple times a week. Have you seen goats in trees?  I think Misha was in training. Why Was She Climbing On The Couch? It took some time to realize that it had to do with fear.  What else? We have been…

Misha Should Not Be Up On Top Of The Couch!

Misha Should Not Be Up On Top Of The Couch!

My dog has been driving us nuts!  She isn’t allowed on the couch except when accompanied by a human…and then, only on their lap.  She’s been good about the rules.  Until now. She’s gotten insistent on climbing up on the back of one of the couches to the point of defiance.  It wouldn’t be a big deal except the glass dinner table is behind it.  I’m afraid she may jump off the couch not realizing the table is right there….

Signs of Spring on Our Daily Dog Walk

Signs of Spring on Our Daily Dog Walk

This has been an usual winter.  It’s not like we have harsh winters where we live, but we should get a lot of rain especially in February.  And, we haven’t.  Most of February has been sunny.  Not just sunny, but springlike.  I’m talking 70s here.  Great weather for taking my dog for a walk.  Misha just loves it! She ignored my pleas to get out.  Even as I started to remove blankets she pretended not to hear. Try as she may, she couldn’t resist the sounds of the mail carrier on our porch. …

My Dog is All Ears for Food

My Dog is All Ears for Food

Let it be known that my dog doesn’t always hear her name even when she is in the same room as the caller.  But, she can hear the pantry door open while buried under her blankets on the other side of the house. She can hear a food wrapper being opened in the garage. She can hear peas dropping on the floor. I call it selective hearing. She hears it if it has to do with food. —————–

Rainy Days and Mondays Always Get My Dog Down

Rainy Days and Mondays Always Get My Dog Down

We were so lucky.  December was almost completely dry. It was practically springlike. I got to walk Misha almost every day. Then January came along and the storm door opened.  Mind you, we don’t have to deal with the snow like the rest of the country.  But, we’ve already had more rain and fog than in December, and we’re only half way through January.  Another series of storms is approaching for the rest of the week. As you know Misha…
