Kong Dog Toy: Just Reward for Wearing the Hood of Shame

Kong Dog Toy: Just Reward for Wearing the Hood of Shame

Share

If you read my post earlier this week, you know that Misha had to wear the hood of shame for a couple of days.  She injured her paw, well, just the toe on her paw.   It’s all better now and she’s free…FREE! The first thing she did was start licking her paw.  I had to take measures to keep her distracted.   I bought her first Kong toy not too long ago.  They make a small size perfect for an 8…

Misha Spent the Weekend in the Hood of Shame

Misha Spent the Weekend in the Hood of Shame

Share

Oh, what a weekend we have had!  My dog came down with a minor injury.  She insisted on bugging it, so I had to put her in the hood of shame. Limping Around The House It all started Thursday afternoon.  I took her for her walk and didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. In the afternoon, she developed a slight limp.  No biggee.  She’d limp a little when she jumped off the couch or getting up after a nap….

My Dog in Black and White

My Dog in Black and White

I got tagged in one of those memes on Facebook. Seven black and white photos in seven days.  I love playing with my camera so I looked forward to the challenge. It’s National Vet Tech Week

Did you know that the third week in October is National Vet Tech Week?  I can’t give enough praise for the veterinary techs at our veterinarian office.  They go above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to dealing with my dog. Misha’s No Good, Very Bad Emergency Veterinary Hospital Visit Although I did everything right with Misha during her first year as far as veterinarian visits are concerned, things went bad one very long night. My dad…

Saying Goodbye to Summit: A Family Dog

Saying Goodbye to Summit: A Family Dog

Share

At some point, every pet owner must decide when it’s time to say goodbye.  My sister’s dog, Summit, became very ill a week or so ago.  She was diagnosed with acute kidney disease.  When her numbers came down, they brought her home.  They hoped she would recover, but she didn’t.  She never regained her appetite. It was time to make that decision no pet owner wants to make.  They had the vet come to their house.  She died in her…

My Dog and I Participate in the Community Rock Hide and Seek

My Dog and I Participate in the Community Rock Hide and Seek

Share

I couple of weeks ago I found a rock sitting on a fence post a block from where I live.  It made my day.  It was hidden there by a neighbor participating in one of the many community rock hide and seeks taking part across America. I wasn’t looking for rocks, one found me.  But, it brought me such pleasure, I decided to play along.  I can’t draw or paint, so I did what I do best.  I colored them…
