Thanksgiving Wishes!

Thanksgiving Wishes!

Misha would like to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! Misha had a great time at my sister’s house.  She got to hang out by the kitchen salivating over the smells.  She played with Summit’s treat ball and got a treat from that. She also partook of the cat’s buffet twice.  Meaning, she broke into the back room over the boxes blocking the entrance and at the cat’s food twice.  At least she didn’t get into the litter box which…

This is Misha.  She thinks winter is already here.  Well, it may be in other parts of the country where temperatures have dipped to zero.  But here on the west coast, it’s  60F. Are all Jack Russell Terriers sensitive to cooler temps?  Misha certainly can’t handle anything less than 65F.  I’ve seen her burrow when it’s in the 80s. Even our dogs are weather wimps.

Misha tells time by when she gets fed.  In the morning she goes out, does her business, and gets breakfast.  Time to wake up from her nap because Grandma is having lunch.  She goes on her walk around noon and gets a snack.  3pm she gets some vegetables when I make lunch and Grandma has dinner. This is the last catch up post.  I wrote about how Misha made it through her first days at home alone in a long time.  Then, I told you about her health issues. While I was dealing with her stomach issues, she had even more problems.  She was bitten by some insect in our lawn one morning just before our walk.  She refused to walk to the house.  I had to carry her.  She has had problems like this before…

Misha Isn’t the Only Scaredy Dog

Behold Misha’s cousin, Summit.  She stayed with us last week.  Summit and Misha are two of a kind.  They are afraid of strange things. Misha tends to be afraid of things that make noise, like the aluminum foil container when you rip off a sheet.  I’m not sure what Summit’s deal is. We brought in a ladder to change the batteries on the fire alarms.  The minute the ladder was brought into the house, she ran for cover.  My brother…

In the previous post, I wrote about Misha surviving my herself alone at home.  Now, I’ll tell you all about how it went downhill from there. Some time in July she began throwing up at night.  Nothing to worry about.  Every couple of days, mostly bile.  It was almost always at the same time of the morning: 3 am. She had no other symptoms.   Her appetite was fine and everything else was working properly. I tried different things.  Perhaps it…
