The only reason Misha tolerates her cousin

The only reason Misha tolerates her cousin

For the most part, Summit and Misha get along very well.  They do this through avoidance.  They don’t play together, they don’t lay together.  The only time they are around each other is when there is food nearby. The only reason Misha wants Summit to come over is this… The AKC Squirrel…the large one. This is Summit’s toy.  She brings it every time she visits.  It is Misha’s favorite.  She can’t help but attack it the minute it’s thrown on…

I’ve written about my little scaredy dog from time to time.  Misha acquires new fears on a regular basis.  It’s entertaining and frustrating.  Though Summit outweighs her by about 55 lbs she is just as much a chicken. Today, the culprit was a ladder and the smoke alarm.  I’m not sure which she was more afraid of.  I was sitting at my computer desk and my Mom was climbing up the ladder.  She tried to lodge herself between my keyboard…

My two charges this morning

It’s tough on Midget Dog having a sleepover.  Especially since both dogs try their hardest to ignore each other the entire time. This was Misha at 9 am.  She was all ready for a nap before the day started. Meanwhile, Summit started her walking routine.  She does this until we open the front door.  Usually, we wait until the mail carrier comes.  Summit, the normally mild mannered dog, charges the door.  When you’re expecting a 10 lb. dog to come…

What’s with the water bowl?

As you know, I’m dog sitting my sister’s dog.  I’ve taken care of her many times over the years.  Misha has spent days and weeks with her without any problems. About two months ago, I took care of Summit over a long day.  After she left, I found Misha laying by the water bowl.  I didn’t know what was going on.  I took my shower and she was still there.  The bowl had water, but I rinsed it out and…

Most nights Misha sleeps in her tent under all 3 of her blankets…in the middle of a heat wave…in the Summer.  Meanwhile, I’m running the ceiling fan and trying to find the cold spot on my pillow.  Some nights she joins me by sleeping inside the folded over quilt.  She usually leaves somewhere in the middle of the night.  Probably when I roll over on top of her.  I don’t think she cares for that. This week I am dog…

Blanket Break

Blanket Break

When I was on the computer the other day, Misha kept bugging me.  I brought her tent into the room so I could get some work done. About 5 minutes after she climbed under her blankets, I heard a small whine.  I turned around and this was what was staring at me. It’s really hard to keep from laughing when there is a Jack Russell in the house.
